Terms of Service
Last updated 16 August 2026.
These are the terms Red Crest Garage Doors works to. They cover this website and the repair, installation and servicing work we carry out for customers in our service area. Booking a job with us means these apply.
What This Site Is and Is Not
These pages describe the work we do and set out indicative prices. They are written to be useful and we keep them accurate, but they are general information about garage doors rather than instructions for working on your own.
Several pages explain why particular jobs, spring work above all, are dangerous to attempt without the right equipment. Please take that at face value. If you work on your own door after reading something here, you do so on your own responsibility.
Prices, Quotes and the Diagnostic
The figures on this site are starting prices for straightforward work on a standard residential door. Real prices depend on the door, its size, its construction and what is actually wrong with it, which is why we quote on the telephone before dispatching anybody.
The quote you approve is the amount you pay. If the technician arrives and finds the job is materially different from what was described, you will be told the revised figure and faqs before any work is done. We do not increase a price after the work is finished.
Where a fault cannot be identified over the phone, a $29 diagnostic applies. It comes off the total the moment you approve the repair. There is no separate call out fee, and no loading for evenings, weekends or public holidays.
Vouchers
The printable vouchers on this site apply to the service named on each one and have to be mentioned when the job is booked rather than produced at the end. One voucher per job, they cannot be combined with each other, and they have no cash value. We may withdraw an offer at any time, but not on a job already booked under it.
Booking, Arrival Windows and Cancellation
Arrival windows are estimates given in good faith. Traffic, weather and jobs that turn out to be worse than described will occasionally push them, and if that happens we telephone rather than leave you waiting.
Cancel or rearrange any time before the technician sets off and there is nothing to pay. Where a technician has attended and the job is then cancelled without work being carried out, the $29 diagnostic may be charged for the visit.
Access and Authorisation
Somebody eighteen or over needs to be at the property, with authority to approve the work and access to the garage. If nobody is there when the technician arrives, we will telephone before treating it as a wasted visit.
Tenants may book an inspection. Chargeable work needs the owner's or the managing agent's approval, and we are happy to deal with them directly. Where a door is genuinely dangerous we will make it safe first and settle the authorisation afterwards.
The technician needs the working area clear. Where vehicles or stored belongings block access, we will ask for them to be moved before work starts.
Warranty Coverage
Parts we supply carry twelve months from the date of fitting. Our labour carries ninety days. Both are printed on the receipt you are given on the day. If a covered fault returns inside that period, telephone us and the return visit costs nothing.
Complete doors and openers additionally carry the manufacturer's own warranty, which varies by product and is explained before you buy.
The warranty does not extend to damage from impact, storm, misuse, or work carried out on the door by somebody else after our visit. It also does not cover parts you supplied yourself, though we will still warrant our labour in fitting them.
Safety, and Work We Decline
We will not disable, bypass or remove the photo eye safety sensors on a residential opener, whatever the reason offered. We will not fit domestic specification parts to a commercial door in order to reduce a quote. We will not leave a door running extension springs without safety cables fitted through them.
Where we consider a door unsafe to operate, we will say so and explain why. If you choose to keep using it against that advice, that decision is yours and we will not accept responsibility for what follows.
Limits on Liability
We are licensed, bonded and insured, and where our work causes damage or loss we will put it right through that insurance.
What we do not accept liability for is indirect or consequential loss, meaning things like lost business, missed appointments or vehicles temporarily inaccessible. We are also not responsible for pre existing faults we did not cause, or for damage arising from a door structure or building fabric that was already failing before we attended, though we will always tell you when we find one.
The Content on These Pages
The text, photographs and layout of this site belong to Red Crest Garage Doors. You are welcome to read it, print it and link to it. Copying it wholesale onto another website is not permitted.
Manufacturer names shown on this site are the trademarks of the companies concerned. We repair and fit their products; the mention of a name does not imply that they endorse us.
Applicable Law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Arizona, and any dispute falls to the courts of Maricopa County. Before anybody reaches that point, please telephone us. Almost everything is resolved by a conversation, and we would much rather have one.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise this page, and the date at the top will change when we do. The terms that apply to your job are the ones in force on the day it was booked.
